Introduction

 I went into this class with high expectations and lots of anticipation from the beginning. I love reading, writing, and children's literature. In fact, I'm surprised I haven't taken this class before. I'm happy to say that it lived up to my expectations- I learned so much, not just about children's lit but also about myself as a writer, a learner, and a person.



I hope this portfolio reflects not only how much I learned in this class, but also how much I enjoyed it. I'm already regretting that it's over, but I realize that I can continue my scholarship beyond this class. 



Throughout this portfolio, I used photos and quotes that reflect my favorite things about children's literature. At the bottom of the home page you can see a collection of my favorite children's books that have impacted me over the years. I am transitioning from a child who loved books to a soon-to-be parent who wants to pass that love of reading on to my child.
